Hi everyone. Laurie here with my final Fotobella Design Team post for this month. I used the fabulous Crafternoon Scrapbook Bundle by Kaisercraft. This time I decided on a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout that could easily be added to an album or a frame.
A couple of years ago, a very good friend went through a pretty rough time. Her precious baby girl was born with a life-threatening condition known as CDH. There were so many of us who stood by her and supported her through this time. Now, that little "miracle" is a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day! She was the perfect subject for my project:
I trimmed 1/8 inch from each side of the gray page and attached it to a piece of white linen cardstock. It makes the page a bit sturdier for framing. Then, I fussy cut two of the doilies from the paper and mounted them onto some die cuts from my stash. I printed my photos on regular cardstock and cut them out leaving a small border of white around the main image. Next, I matted those with coordinating colors of cardstock. The paintbrush and pallet are pieces of ephemera.
I attached the main photo using pop dots to make it stand out. I used some of the leaves and flowers from the ephemera pack for accents. Clip between the petals and used a stylus on the back to give them shape, and attached with a dot of glue in the center of the flower and at the base of the leaves.
No doubt this will end up in a frame for Kadie's mom. Thanks for letting me share my scrapbook layout with you.
