Hello crafty friends!! Today I am on the blog to share with you these handmade card box sets. The design team package I received from Fotobella was a kit that included the Graphic 45 Blossom 8x8 paper pad, ephemera and journaling set, stickers and chipboard set & coordinating card stock. Also, came with some ribbons, fibers, buttons, rhinestones, metals, and sequins. Everything you need to make some great handmade cards!
Making of the 3x3 Graphic 45 Cards
I began, by choosing and cutting the variety colored card stock that came in this kit. First, I cut a 3x12 inch strip from the colored card stock. Then cut that at 6 in, getting two 3x6 pieces. I cut all of the pieces first, after that, I scored all of those pieces in half. So on the long side, the 6 in. side, score at 3 inches.
Once you have all of your card stock cut and scored, I then chose and cut papers from the 8x8 paper pad of Graphic 45 Blossom collection. I cut up some of the sheets that had a variety of sentiments, tags, etc. Then picked out which I wanted to used as my background, or base piece. These, I cut almost to the 3 inch mark, leaving about 1/16 of an inch from 3in. I then took all of the variety of base pieces I had cut, I distressed all of the edges using Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I adhered everything using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Glue.
Envelopes for 3x3 cards
Before adhering those down, I cut some plain white card stock from my stash for the inside of the card bases, I also used this same card stock to create my envelopes. First I cut the card stock 7 X 4 1/4, score horizontally at 1in, 4 1/2, turn vertically score @ 1/2 on both sides. You are then going to cut off the the rectangles on both ends of the piece. (X marked on those on my video). Once I finished cutting all of them, I then used some non brand double sided 1/4 inch tape, I have also used liquid adhesives as well.
Finishing the Graphic 45 Cards
To finish off my Graphic 45 cards, I used some of the ribbons, buttons, and other items from the embellishment pack that came in this kit from Fotobella.
For the boxes, I followed a great tutorial from PootlesPapercraft. She has quite a few videos on different project ideas, and they are very easy to follow! I have a playlist of her tutorials, you will love how simple they are!
I hope that my video and written instructions made sense. Even though this collection from Graphic 45 isn’t my style, but these make great gifts to friends who love bright colors like this! Stay tuned for my next project. Till then check out the rest of the Fotobella Design Team create inspirational projects!
