Let's decorate a Christmas mailbox for Santa Claus letters for my grand kids! Penny here today showcasing a fun project I made this year for my grand kids. I hope you decide to make one of your own. Let's get started.
I started this project a plain small metal mailbox. It was cute but it really needed some help in the decoration department. So I took out my design team kit from the FotoBella Online Scrapbook Store, and started to pick out my foundation paper. I chose the Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-Collection-Kit, pictured below.
I glued down my red and white paper to the mail box sides. I then added some Carta-Bella-Washi-Tape-Delivering-Gifts to the middle, and both outer edges of the mailbox. I also added a chipboard piece from Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-6x13-Chipboard-Phrases. to the mailbox flag.
Next I used the Carta-Bella-Washi-Tape-Dash-Away to the middle of the opposite side, along with some pieces from Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-Ephemera. Using my cricut and cut out the letters for S.Claus from the Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-Solids-Kit. I also used some of that paper to back my letters.
Next came the Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-Enamel-Dots to some of the decorative pieces. It was at this time I added the ribbon bows to several locations.
For the front of the mailbox I added some pieces from Carta-Bella-Merry-Christmas-Ephemera. I then added the "Do not open till Christmas" in the mailbox ID area. Super cute, and easy.
To the other side I added a piece from the title sheet that was included in the kit. I loved the Santa in the airplane because it reminded me of the "air mail" stamps that we used to use a long time ago. This was perfect for my Christmas mailbox theme.
As a final touch I added some bling here and there to brighten up my project.
I hope you had fun following along today and be sure and check out the FotoBella Blog for more fun and exciting projects from our fellow design Team members. Love Penny
