Using Stamperia Texture Moulds to Create a Mixed Media Page

Greetings! Chris here and today I am excited to show you how to use those impressions we made using Stamperia Texture Moulds and Cream Paste. This year I have challenged myself to create an art journal and this Mixed Media page will be the perfect start. Creating just to create is going to be a bit of a challenge and I am hoping to explore some new techniques. So on to the project.....

Mixed media is something I struggle with a bit. As a scrapbooker and card maker, I never seem to be able to add dimension to my projects. So using those impressions we made using Stamperia Texture Moulds and Cream Paste I think we be a perfect start.

The Supplies

Stamperia Texture Moulds

Stameria’s Cream Paste

Stamperia Clockwise paper pad

Buttons and More Galore- Desert Sky

Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Alchemy- Wax Pastes

Paint - black, Pallet Knife, Inks, Tissue paper, burlap scraps, thick paper for base (I chose watercolor paper), Cardstock for matting if desired

Start by planning ahead and creating your desired Texture impression following the instructions here. (SEE How to Use Stamperia Texture Moulds with Cream Paste link needed)

Once you have a impression, we can get started.

Cut a piece of thick paper (watercolor paper to fit your desired size. Cover water color paper with Stamperia Clockwise papers. Cut a clock from Stamperia paper pad and add distress inks.

Tear a few strips of tissue paper and distress with distress inks.

Adhere clock and tissue paper strips to your project.

Adhere burlap scraps over background to add more texture. Then set background aside for now.

Altering your Stamperia Impression

if you remember your impression is white because we used the White cream Paste. I didn’t feel that matched the mood of my project so...start by paint your impression black.

Once paint is dry, start adding Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Alchemy- Wax Pastes to your impression. Keep adding pastes until you have the desired look.

Add altered texture impression to your page. Add a sprinkling of dots from Buttons and More Galore- Desert Sky to project. Choose a quote and ink to match and add to your project to finish! Here is a close up of my finished texture :D I hope you are inspired to try creating your own Mixed Media Page.
