Hello friends, it’s ReNae here, to tell you all about the Vintage Artistry Noel Collection. Now, most of you know me as a card maker. And as such, I generally create my projects before a holiday or event. But unlike card making, scrapbookers create their scrapbook pages and other memory keeping (such as mini albums or memory books) after the holiday or event. After the photos have been taken and printed then they are ready to be scrapbooked!

Let’s Get Started

I recently had the opptunity to work with a paper collection that really blew me away! I had so much fun using it that I couldn’t wait to share it with you! This collection is called Vintage Artistry Noel by 49th &Market and it is absolutely perfect for creating beautiful scrapbook pages! This collection will showcase your precious holiday memories beautifully! And if you’re like me, and scrapbooking isn’t usually your thing, the collection will be a great go-to for creating home decor pieces that can be framed and hung on the wall!

Now, for those of you who think “Those pages are really cute but I could never do that” I want to say, “Yes you can!” 49th & Market makes it easy and fun and it’s super stress-free! Everything is included in the collection! So when I was finished with my first project, I had so much fun that I created a second one!

The Vintage Artistry Noel Collection

But before I tell you how I created these beautiful pages, let me tell you a little bit about The Vintage Artistry Noel Collection pack. It comes with 2 (two) 12 x 12 pages of punch-out laser images. I’m telling you, these images are just beautiful! They look like they came right out of your great grandmother‘s Victorian scrapbook! The colors are sharp and the shading on them is true to form.

Also included are 4 (four) collection sheets of beautifully collaged double-sided paper and a bonus pattern on the backside of the cover. The collages on these papers are gorgeous! They have a mixed media vibe and the details are stunning! They feature faux watercolor, faux stitching, and images that look just like burlap and other cool textures. And what’s so nice about it is the that your project ends up looking like you created these backgrounds yourself!

Have you Tried the Rub Ons?

Another product that I was really impressed with was the Vintage Artistry Noel Rub-Ons. They come with three individual sheets - one green, one red, and one multicolored. These are absolutely a joy to work with! Once you get started you just can’t stop! And wow do they ever step-up your project!

Incredible texture!

Ok, Now that I have shared a bit about what’s in the collection, let me tell you how I created these pretty pages. On the first page I selected the multi-paned window laser punch-out and I adhered acetate to the back of it creating a window. I then adhered the window to the scrapbook paper with pop dots, leaving an opening at the top. This allowed me to be able to slip a laser punch/out image behind the window. I chose to use a cardinal but you could instead use a photo of your favorite Christmas memory!

The acetate frame can display a photograph or a laser punch out image.

Here Are Some Details

I built out my scrapbook page using various paper punch-outs of greenery and pinecones and other laser cuts. . Next, I finished it off with the rub-ons, adding stars and hearts and little word phrases. Then, I then added some glitter to the window panes and greenery to give it a wintry look. The glitter stayed in place by squeezing wet glue into the corners of the window panes and then sprinkling the glitter on top. I then set the page aside to dry and thought to myself “that was so much fun, i’m going to make another one!” So I did!

Even though the laser punch outs and other images are one dimensional, they appear to be three-dimensional and have such beautiful texture

Let’s Create the Second Page with Vintage Artistry Noel

When creating the second scrapbook page I used basically the same elements as I did on the first one. I used two of the matching paper frames and used vintage images of Santa Claus inside each frame. I finished it off with the rub-ons and some glimmer spray. When you look at these paper frames (the laser punch-outs) it’s just amazing how realistic they look. In these photos they actually look three-dimensional don’t you think? I went to town with the rub-ons again adding stars, hearts, and word phrases. I finished this page off with some glimmer spray to give it a winter vibe. After the first page was dry, I put it in a wooden frame to demonstrate how these pages could easily be transformed into a cute home decor pictures to hang on the wall during the holidays!

ready to hang on the wall

This collection was really fun to work with and the projects came together very quickly. I could have made more as the kit came with 4 patterned papers and plenty of punch-outs!
