Hello crafty friends! Today on the blog, I am excited to share this ATC Mini Album! I created this using Carta Bella Halloween Market Collection.
For this album, I basically eye balled my measurements and tried following some of the measurements from the Graphic 45 ATC album that I have in my stash.
Let’s Get Started
There are also many videos on YouTube for this kind of album. You can also follow the one I created in my own head!! Surprisingly because I’m not the best when it comes to my own measurements.
Making the base
First, I started by cutting up some black chipboard into 3 pcs (2) 4.0 X 5.5 (1) 2 X 5.5). I finished with the chipboard, and I then cut some black card stock 11X 6. Secondly, I adhered the Carta Bella chipboard to the cardstock, leaving spaces in between each piece. I used my Tim Holtz ruler to space them out. To adhere the chipboard, I used Helmar Acid Free Glue and an old paint brush to spread the glue, this can be done so if don’t buckle. Lastly I cut another piece of card stock for the inside 9.75 X 4.74. As for the spine for this album, I just followed a tutorial on Youtube for this part.
Inside Carta Bella Pages & Spine
For the inside pages, I was actually trying to create the same pages as the ATC albums from Graphic 45, but I must say , mine didn’t turn out how I thought they would but I still like how it turned out. So as I was saying, for the inside pages I cut 4 pieces of cardstock at 4.5 X 12. I then scored it at 3.5, 6.5 and 9.5. This made them different sizes when I folded them up. I was then able to create a pocket out of one of the folded pages. This part I was able to adhere onto the spine.
Once I was done with the base, I began adhering papers from both the left over paper from previous projects and from the Carta Bella 6x6 paper pad. For all of the papers, I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Black Soot on all of the edges. Then I added some of the cut apart pieces from the 12x12 sheet to create a 2pc waterfall on the larger pages. I added some of the tags from the Halloween Market Frames and Tags package to put into the pockets in the pages. Also I used some of the Halloween Market Ephemera pieces on the inside front and back cover as well as on some of the other pages of the album.
I finished it off by adhering some black cheese cloth onto the cover, some Prima flowers, a chipboard skeleton I had in my stash along with the “Boo” Sentiment which is a button also from my stash.
